Duncan Hunter certainly isn’t a quitter. He continued pursuing a dream for twenty years, a dream that the Pentagon rejected and the Department of Defense didn’t ask for.
A dream that sucked up $63 million taxpayer dollars mandated by Duncan Hunter’s own earmarks in defense spending bills.
And what is this dream? A warp engine? A flux capacitor? A jet car equipped with an oscillation overthruster?
No.
It’s an ugly plane that doesn’t fly.
The DP2 is supposed to take off vertically, like a helicopter, and fly at 700 miles per hours. But, all it does is rise up about 10 feet and crash.
But, it has been developed and built in Hunter’s own district by a campaign contributor.
Did I mention that it’s ugly? $63 million and you guys couldn’t put some glitter streamers on the tail? Really?
Duncan, now that you’re twenty year pet project has been killed by Congress, might I suggest that you console yourself by responding to the Geek Survey?
