Presidential Geek Survey Diary – Day 44

BatmanPatrick Leahy isn’t a presidential candidate, but I heard on The Rachel Maddow Show that the Vermont senator loves comic books and has gotten himself a small speaking role in The Dark Knight, which I think is much more impressive than landing the cover of GQ.

But, wait.
There’s more.

Leahy was also an extra in Batman and Robin and did a voice for Batman: The Animated Series.

Senator Leahy
loves Batman and isn’t afraid to show it.

Excuse me, Democratic and Republican presidential candidates. Would it just kill your reputation to follow Senator Leahy’s example and let your Geek show a little bit?

Are you afraid
you won’t be able to hang with the cool kids if you do?

Are you afraid GQ won’t come calling?

So guys and gal,
take a break from bickering over Barack Obama’s latest gaffe, Elizabeth Edwards’ latest outburst and Rudy Giuliani’s latest 9/11 exploitation. Do something that will help your image as a real person rather than a pre-packaged presidential product. Respond to the Pink Raygun Geek Survey.

I bet Senator Leahy would do it.

Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.

Maybe the PGS should be sent to Senator Leahy :-)

  2. AmateurScientist says:

Sen. Leahy also wrote the introduction to a Green Arrow trade. I know this at the expense of several years’ worth of meaningful human contact. I agree, send him the survey.
