In a New Hampshire speech, Joe Biden speculated that Al Gore and John Kerry lost the presidency partly because they let themselves be labeled as “anti-God” and may not have respected the views of religious voters. Biden went on to say that “Democrats have been afraid to talk about faith” and followed up with talking about his own Catholicism, possibly to prove that he’s braver than those other Democratic pansies.
It blows my mind that in 2007 candidates still have to pander to the faithful flock to win a secular office in a country that prizes the separation between church and state.
By the way, I don’t see candidates jockeying for votes at synagogues, mosques or covens. I don’t see candidates reassuring those voters that they share common values and think alike.
Here’s the thing, Joe. Candidates shouldn’t have to talk about faith because faith has no bearing whatsoever on running the country effectively.
Joe, if you’re willing to talk about that kind of politically meaningless topic, then it shouldn’t be a stretch for you to respond to the Geek Survey.
Unless, of course, you’re afraid you’ll be labeled “Geek”.

AMEN!
I mean… nevermind… hahaha
We’re up to day 42 without a response? Douglas Adams would be ashamed.
42 days since we started keeping track of it. We originally sent the survey out on May 30th, so the actual accrued time is like 75 days.
