Presidential Geek Survey Diary – Day 35

Hillary Clinton told a bunch of liberal bloggers from the Daily Kos that lobbyists really do care about humanity, have never kicked a puppy, and that their money is just as good as the crisp dollar bill your grandma sent you for your birthday.

At the YearlyKos
convention, Hillary refused to stop taking campaign donations from lobbyists and the special interests they represent and was nearly booed off the stage. She responded, “A lot of those lobbyists, whether you like it or not, represent real Americans, they actually do.”

John Edwards and
Barack Obama tagged teamed her from that point, commenting that her time in Washington must have skewed her perspective and asking the audience point blank who among them has been represented by lobbyists.

Five people raised their hands.

So, Hillary, you defend Washington lobbyists, but won’t respond to the Geek Survey? We’re not even trying to influence your campaign or get you to pass pro-Geek legislation. Although, could you do something to move the United States toward universal (and cheap) wi-fi access? The connection in this hotel is awful and I’m paying out the nose for it.

Lisa Fary's earliest influences are Princess Leia, Rainbow Bright, Astronaut Barbie, and her 6th grade teacher, Ms. Palmer. She's angry that it's 2011 and she still doesn't have a hovercraft, but will accept a jetpack as consolation. That jetpack had better be pink with a rhinestone monogram.
