But I really felt he meant it when he said about replacing him. Or at least I hope he did, and I don't know if I could handle the heartbreak if he really did lie to Charlie about Claire getting off of the island just to get off himself/get Penny. I think Lost has gone from strength to strength this season and I only measure it by the fact that I missed a whole chunk of Season 2 because it got so damn boring. Season 3 through has kept me addicted like a junkie always needing my fix. Meh, no big deal I can handle being hooked to Lost. I will agree with the trailer issue though, some of them are pretty god-damn ridiculous. It has become a running joke in my flat to put the 'lost voice' over anything and everything, "Tonight the meal time saga you cannot miss... cooking a frozen pizza" (Really you can't miss it... will it burn? :o ) (Also I'd really love it if you could drop the spoiler my way, cheers!) He's been on the island significantly longer than the other Losties (and locked up with Clancy Brown, to boot). I think he would be willing to do and say anything, sacrifice anyone to get off the island. When it comes back in 2008, even if I'm not completely done with Lost, I think it would be best for someone else to take over because I feel like I'm repeating the same ideas in this column and it's just better if the writer is really into the show, which I'm having a hard time with anymore. EVERY episode, of every show, no matter how silly (*coughs*Grey'sAnatomy*cough-cough*), is the episode you "can't miss." Eh. That doesn't bother me so much. Advertising's sole purpose is to beat one over the head to make one purchase a product. It's just doing its job. I loved this episode, and was in tears for 3/4 of it! I never liked Charlie before, but I LOVE him now. He really came into his own this episode, and the scenes with him and Hurley, as well as the scene with Desmond in the boat were heartbreaking. I also loved Jack and Sayid in this episode - they're finally taking on the roles they were destined to take. Jack as leader, Sayid as second in command. This is all very good. What I want to bring up is this: Desmond OBVIOUSLY lied about how Charlie was going to die to get him to go down there. Or 2) did what happened to Charlie change, because there really was something to what Desmond was saying in the boat about needing to replace him?
