NBC announced this morning that Heroes has spawned a spin-off series, Heroes: Origins, which will air as six segments of filler in the Monday night time slot when Heroes goes on hiatus. Heroes: Origins will focus on new characters who have not made an appearance on Heroes. Viewers will be asked to vote on their favorite Origins character and the viewer favorite will be written into the main series. A premiere date has not yet been announced.
