Remember that thing that Edward James Olmos said about Battlestar ending?
Well, it’s not true. Not according to the producers.
From Sci-Fi Wire: “Contrary to comments by Edward James Olmos (Adm. Adama) at the Saturn Awards on May10, no end has been announced for the award-winning show. Battlestar Galactica is preparing to film its fourth season, one that will include 22 episodes, rather than the previously announced 13.
“For those of you who have been paying attention over the years, this is not the first time Eddie has made an announcement about the possibility of the show’s end,” chuckled Eick. “I promise you that when [executiuve producer] Ron [Moore] and I make a decision about Galactica’s future, we’ll let you know.”

So, to recap:
2003 – “Last summer, Edward James Olmos, who stars as Commander Adama in the new remake of Battlestar Galactica, shocked television critics when he said fans of the original 1979 show ought to avoid the new version. They will hate it, he explained, because it is much different from the original.”
2007 – “There’s a lot of good TV out [now], but as far as what I’ve seen in my lifetime, [this show]’s been extraordinary. And it’s not even on [premium] cable. Like, if [Battlestar] was on HBO, forget it, you could do stuff that would just drive people crazy.”
2007 – Olmos – Battlestar Season 4 will be the last.
2007 – Eick – No it won’t.
