My new favorite characters on Lost are the tiny “Dancing with the Stars” dancers, hoofing their way across the bottom of the screen. They’re totally running things on the island.
Kate needs to learn to control herself. She’s on the edge of The Others’ settlement and when she sees Jack, she immediately rushes and moves to yell “JAAACK!” How did she become a master criminal with instincts like that?
I completely agree with Locke: Sayid should have told him about the wired C4 in the basement last week. So many of the Losties problems could be avoided by talking to each other and sharing information. It also made perfect sense for Locke to help himself to some explosives. When you’re stuck on a hostile island engaged in a rescue mission, you pick up whatever you can that might help.
Is it just my imagination, or is Locke looking crazier every week? Also, I can never decide if I like his character or not. Last week, he annoyed me with his insistence on playing computer chess when he should have been guarding the Mad Russian. This week, instead of standing around and talking about it, he took action and shoved the Mad Russian into the sonic brain frying fence. It was the right thing to do at the time, and no one else was doing anything.
So, Charlie and Claire. All of Charlie’s “near death” experiences have to do with Claire. Back in season one, Charlie was with Claire when Ethan hung him from a tree. He was with Claire when the lightening should have hit him. He was trying to save Claire when Desmond saw him drown. He was getting a bird for Claire when Desmond saw him break his neck. It looks like Claire may be Charlie’s personal angel of death.
