FirstGlance Films announces its 3rd Annual Feature Length Screenplay Competition and 4th Annual Short Script Contest. The First Glance Film Festivals have been running in Philadelphia for 10 years and in Hollywood for 8 years.Call for Entries Opens: March 10,2007

Feature Screenplay Info and Guidelines

The top three scripts are judged by Hollywood production companies and top producers in the industry, including Boxing Cat Films (Tim Allen’s production company), Humble Journey Films (Eric LaSalle’s Production Company), Madhouse Entertainment and Avalanche! Entertainment Producer Richard Hull…just to name a few!!

Prizes
All applicants receive one page feedback from professional readers noting strengths and weaknesses with suggestions on how to proceed on your next re-write. Other prizes include:

  • Final Draft Software
  • Syd Field’s Screenwriting Seminars
  • Creative Screenwriting, Scr(i)pt, Fade In , and Moviemaker subscriptions
  • Entrance to Screenwriting Expo 2008 in Los Angeles
  • Pitch meetings with Hollywood producers and agents
  • In depth script analysis provided to winner
  • Winning scripts will be posted online and shopped to producers and agents
  • Possible option or purchase from FirstGlance’s production company partners

FirstGlance’s Fourth Annual Short Script Competition

Think of it as the “Project Greenlight” for short film writers.  FirstGlance is calling for entries for our 4th annual short screenplay competition.

Here’s how it works
You write a short screenplay, and enter it into the competition.
Hollywood producers read the screenplays.
The Grand Prize Winner will have their screenplay co-produced by FirstGlance Films and premiered at either our Hollywood or Philadelphia Festival. Co-Production value between $5000.00-$7500.00

FirstGlance is one of the only short script contests that assists short filmmakers to bring their script to the screen.

Screenplays must be under 20 pages.
